I’ve never been that great at describing myself. I can ROCK an interview –giving examples of how I have a handle on time management, how to prioritize my day, how I’ve dealt with difficult customers, or how I’m ridiculously organized… my google calendar is color-coded for goodness sake — until someone says “so tell me about yourself.”
A fine line exists between confidently selling yourself and being an egotistical crazy person. I tend to err on the side of mystery, hoping someone will take a chance on me so I can WOW them with my performance. I have to say that has worked for me so far.
I just jinxed that now, haven’t I?
So, why me?
Well, you wouldn’t be reading this section if you haven’t already seen my work… right? … right? Dear goodness, I hope so!! So something must have sparked your interest to have at least gotten to this part of this post. I’d like to think that I am like that over-confident high-school jock who can put herself out there and not care what people think about her.
But the truth is I do.
I do care what people think about me.
I think deep down we all care, at least a little bit, what people think about ourselves. I tend to be more reserved when it comes to talking about myself, especially if I do not know someone. In fact, I’ve mastered the art of turning the conversation around and making you talk about you without even realizing. The spotlight makes me uncomfortable. And that is precisely why I like being BEHIND the camera, rather than in front of it.
I am extremely critical of my own work, and, to be quite transparent, I am flattered just for the fact that you’ve come to my website to see my work. Do you know how many selfies I took just so I could upload one to this post? Too many. More than I care to admit. I tried to be serious, but, you know what? I’m just not.
I am sarcastic.
I like to goof around.
I love to make people laugh.
And most of all, I love to capture those raw emotions from people.
I also like wine, running, and tacos. Not necessarily in that order. #TacosAreLife
So, I chose a photo that I took Sept 2017 with Josh. Just sitting in the car waiting to go into a concert. This is me. I have nothing to be ashamed about that I like being a little goofy and nontraditional. I think Snapchat filters are the most ridiculous thing, but it makes me laugh every single time. Okay fine, rum was involved. But hey, if it makes you laugh, then go for it.
Thank you in advance for simply taking time out of your day to visit my webpage. I would be truly honored if you chose me to take photos for you and your family to create a physical keepsake to hold onto for years to come.
HA, who am I kidding…
Wishing you the goofiest of days,
